The magistrate made this announcement on the occasion of the visit of the Secretary of State in charge of children and families, Adrien Taquet, who visited early Tuesday evening in Indre-et-Loire, a few hours after the discovery in a lake in the department of the body of a 6-year-old child missing since Monday.
According to the prosecutor, the two children who drowned in the swimming pool lived in Paris. They escaped the supervision of their grandparents for a few seconds. Early Monday afternoon, they got on buoys, before falling into the water, while the recently renovated swimming pool was being filled.
The adults present did not hear anything due to the noise of the filling pump. The prosecution did not request an autopsy of the two bodies. The announcement of these two drownings comes only a few hours after the discovery of the body of a six-year-old child, who drowned in the lake of Château-la-Vallière after having escaped the supervision of his educator, a only thirty kilometers from Saint-Antoine-du-Rocher.
