The winds in the past week have been stormy after public outrage began against the satire program "The Jews Are Coming" (here 11). Following a scathing video by Rabbi Zamir Cohen in which he said that he tore a tear after watching a video that he allegedly despises the name of God, MKs, public figures and various organizations came out against the broadcast of the program and even called for a criminal investigation into religious degradation.

But it turns out that "The Jews Are Coming" is not only broadcast on the Public Broadcasting Corporation of the State of Israel, but is on the website of the Ministry of Education, as a recommendation for teaching material for teachers to teach the Bible. The fact that this content is clearly inaccurate. For content to star as a suggestion for study material.

This is not the only problematic content on the Ministry of Education website. As part of the recommended Torah lessons, there are videos from a mission organization called the Society for the Bible, which teachers are supposed to use to teach students. Admittedly, the specific videos are not problematic per se, but a slight browse through the Facebook channel reveals missionary content that deals with Jesus and the New Testament, alongside the Bible. A child who watches a video about Jacob our father may find himself watching a video about Paul without any filtering or examination.

B'Tselem contacted the Minister of Education demanding that the problematic content be removed immediately. "The law prohibits children from learning about Christianity, and in this case it is a situation in which a mission organization allegedly passes on content to teachers, and these will teach the children of Israel - something that is illegal." Regarding the use of the "Jews Are Coming" program, they wrote to the Minister of Education: "The program is false, degrading and humiliating, and is not relevant at all to the curriculum. The Ministry of Education must remove the content from the site and conduct a home inspection."

Gisha Yad L'Achim saves and rehabilitates victims of cults in Israel, said: "We went to the Ministry of Education on the subject. On the one hand prevents millions of children the eternal values of our people, on the other hand exposing them to the values of Christianity - a religion that has persecuted us. You can not put up with it.

" The company dissemination of writings The Holy is a missionary body of the Christian sect "Messianic Jews" that has been working for many years to distribute missionary preaching materials in order to bring about conversion.

"The mission continues to humble his affiliation with Christianity and instead transmits Jewish messages that equate him with an innocent cloak. The material for their students and these would fall into the missionary network, "the brothers told Yad.

The Ministry of Education responded: "Over the past few years we have been providing schools with innovative and experiential teaching materials, including videos from diverse content worlds. Some of the 'Jews Are Coming' videos are now on the Bible Schools website for state schools after their suitability has been checked. Two other videos - Noah's Ark and Joseph and his brother - are being examined by the pedagogical secretariat. As for the videos of the Israel Bible Society, they are also under investigation.
