The "securityists" sent a letter to the US Congress: "Connection to the roots is essential in the realization of national security" • Senior Minister: "Sovereignty has not fallen off the agenda"

After a month of intense engagement with the corona virus, the issue of sovereignty is back on the agenda. The security movement tonight (Tuesday) sent a letter to all members of the US House of Representatives and Senate in which they expressed support for the application of sovereignty in accordance with President Donald Trump's plan.

The letter emphasized the security importance of President Trump's plan as guaranteeing Israel's security for generations to come. The security guards also write to members of Congress that "the vital need is for Israel to defend itself only on its own. No radar and no international forces can replace the security forces of the State of Israel and protect the Jewish people in its country."

According to the security guards, "Our connection to our roots and history is Essential and vital in the realization of national security and the national goals of the Jewish people in the State of Israel. "

Brigadier General Amir Avivi, CEO and Founder of the Securityists, said that" it is important that the voice of the securityists be heard among US decision makers. "It is of paramount importance that the world recognizes the existential security needs of the State of Israel and the right of the State of Israel to defend itself, on its own, and to live within safe and defensible borders forever."

Meanwhile, a senior government minister says the possibility that the sovereignty move will be implemented has not been dropped from the agenda. "The incident has not passed," the senior minister said in a closed conversation. He explained that the US administration has also been completely immersed in the corona plague in recent weeks and has not taken time to complete the discussions within it on the issue of sovereignty. "The administration did not say 'no' and therefore the incident did not end. On the other hand, the administration also did not say 'yes' and therefore there is still no decision."

The senior minister added that from now until the US election, the issue may come up on the table. However, he estimated that in any case Israel will be required to make gestures towards the Palestinians, in order to moderate the international criticism.
