Yesterday (Wednesday) opened the possibility of submitting applications for a grant intended for small businesses for injury from the corona in May-June. These are self-employed people with a business with an annual turnover of up to NIS 300,000, who can now apply for a grant on the Tax Authority's website. 

In this framework, individual self-employed persons, whose average turnover per month in the tax year 2019 was between NIS 1,500 and 25,000, can apply and win a grant of up to NIS 6,000.

A small business with an annual turnover of up to NIS 100,000 will receive NIS 3,000. A small business with an annual turnover of up to NIS 200,000-100,000 will receive NIS 4,000, and a small business with an annual turnover of NIS 300,000-200,000 will receive NIS 6,000. The threshold condition for the grant is a decrease of at least 40% in the turnover of business activity in the months in question, compared to the corresponding period last year. This is a dealer who submitted periodic VAT reports for these periods in 2019 and 2020, as well as a dealer who kept account books according to the law and the books were not rejected. The application for the grant can be submitted within 90 days.  

Companies, partners in a partnership or union of dealers whose turnover is up to NIS 300,000, will submit the application for a grant as part of a system for participation in business expenses. It should be noted that the possibility of claiming the remaining grants will open in August. In July, an advance of up to NIS 7,500 has already been paid at the expense of the aid grant.

The Tax Authority stated that "the Tax Authority will publish soon the deadlines for submitting applications for additional grants under the financial assistance program."
