The 40 ° C bar could be reached - or even exceeded - from Burgundy to the Rhône-Alpes region and thirteen departments in the east are placed on orange vigilance by Météo France. But this heat wave will start again as quickly as it came, explains Pascal Scaviner, head of the forecast service at La Chaîne Météo (a Figaro Group company), who recalls that to speak of a heat wave, “there must be three consecutive days of heat at night and high heat during the day ” . On Saturday, the heat should be limited to the southeast. An "ultimately minimal version of the heat wave" which is likely to repeat itself this summer, according to the forecaster: we should not expect exceptional phenomena but rather relatively hot and changeable weather.
