The Minister of Defense of Côte d'Ivoire, Hamed Bakayoko, was appointed Prime Minister on Thursday, replacing Amadou Gon Coulibaly, whose interim he had been since his death on July 8, the presidency announced.

" The President of the Republic proceeded with the signing of a decree appointing Mr. Hamed Bakayoko as Prime Minister ", while keeping the portfolio of Defense, according to the press release from the presidency.
