There are 15 defendants in 4 cases: Li Zhiying, Martin Lee, Yang Sen, He Junren, Shan Zhongkai, Liang Yaozhong, Liang Guoxiong, Li Zhuoren, Wu Aiyi, He Xiulan, Ou Nuoxuan, Wu Wenyuan, Huang Haoming, Cai Yaochang and Chen Haohuan. The charges involved demonstrations on August 18, August 31, October 1 and October 20 last year.

Ou Nuoxuan will plead guilty

Au Nuoxuan said through his barrister that he would plead guilty. Senior Counsel Xia Boyi representing Wu Wenyuan and Liang Yaozhong said that it took time to translate the documents, so the two defendants failed to respond. Cai Yaochang and Liang Guoxiong were still awaiting legal aid approval and were not ready to respond. The remaining defendants pleaded not guilty.
