Hundreds attended a mass reception held in Shefar'am in the Western Galilee to ban the released security Anis Spori. At the reception, which was attended by hundreds, the participants did not observe the rules of social distance and many of them were without masks.

In 2009, the Haifa District Court sentenced Anis Spori, who was 21 at the time and a student at Bir Zeit University, to 14 years in prison and two years probation, after he was convicted along with his cousin of a series of security offenses including plotting to assassinate Israeli scientists and pilots. Spori was also convicted of conspiracy to aid the enemy in war, membership in an illegal association, aid to the enemy in war, conspiracy to murder and possession of a weapon.
