“I started my career in the 70s making a musical that marked a generation,“ Hair ”. It helped me to face an audience that I did not have. It was a total success in Argentina and then I continued in various groups. In 1981 they told me about my record label to invite me to do a special in Mexico. While in Mexico, the president of the record company told me that they were auditioning for the musical “Evita”, the musical rock opera. I had been alone for 4 days and the one who was my manager told me to please him. I auditioned and stayed as the protagonist of "Evita". I returned to Buenos Aires for my son, and we moved to Mexico. This country gave me the opportunity to become popular before my country.

Valeria rose to fame with romantic themes in the 80s, but deep down, she has always been a very empowered rocker at heart. She managed to stand out for her powerful voice in a world dominated mostly by men: “I have had stumbles, it was a man's world, it was very difficult if you were a woman trying to enter. I had songs in my repertoire that answered songs regarding the couple and the daily life, everything that the woman wanted to do and be. In 1985, when I participated in the Yamaha Music Festival in Japan, the organizers were looking for Michael Jackson to go to Tokyo and La Toya Jackson was already “set” as the winner of the contest, before she sang in the contest. It was to fight against the windmills and the jury in the first round of the tie, told the brand that if they did not vote properly, they withdrew from the contest and that's where I got first place for the topic "Puzzles". My whole career has always been little struggles, but I'm not complaining, I'm privileged to have a place in the world of entertainment. I thank my fans, the businessmen and for allowing me to continue here, ”says the singer who was born on January 7 in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Villa Urquiza.
On taking up the genre he always loved from a young age, rock, he says: “When I started my career, I listened and sang rock, which in my country was marginal. You did it in the cellars already hidden because it was a very hard time. I wanted to live from my vocation. Make my vocation my profession and with rock I could not, and I switched to ballad and pop. I always kept rock in my heart, I always wanted to go back to that first love and I proposed to my record label SONY Music to make a rock album. I released “Extraña dama del rock” where there were songs with great national emblematic artists. It was so good that for the second rock album, “Rompe Puzzle”, which is nominated for the Gardel Awards in the category of “Best Rock album”, it was to do my rock versioned songs with Beto Cuevas, Fabi Cantilo, Rubén Rada , Ale Sergei and Mariano Martínez ”.
