President Alberto Fernández announced this Friday that the quarantine for the coronavirus in the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area (AMBA) will remain unchanged until August 16 due to the increase in the number of infections.
"Until August 16, we are going to keep things as they are today. In recent days it has been noted that the virus is circulating more and a greater number of infections are detected. This generates international deaths and, unfortunately, deaths," he said.
Accompanied at the Olivos residence by the Buenos Aires governor, Axel Kicillof, and the head of the Buenos Aires government, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, the president stated that "the Latin American continent is the epicenter of the virus and in Argentina we are going through an increasing circulation."
