At least ten civilians were killed and seven others abducted Friday in Chad in an attack attributed to the jihadist group Boko Haram by an army officer and the local prefect.

" Around three in the morning, elements of Boko Haram attacked Tenana, killing two women and eight men " from this village in the Lac region, a border area between Nigeria, Niger and Cameroon, told AFP an officer on condition of anonymity. This assessment was confirmed by the prefect of the area, Yacoub Mahamat Seitchimi.
