Justice corroborated that Lázaro Báez's fortune in assets registered and detected in the context of the Money Route K case amounts to $ 205,134,525 . And that many were acquired "with money of illicit origin." His millionaire assets, however, are guarded and for this reason he still has not managed to get out of prison despite being released. This Thursday, the prosecutor Abel Córdoba, in addition to requesting a 12-year prison sentence for him, asked for the confiscation of his assets and a fine of $ 438 million. Baez could lose everything, but his ex-wife is looking to at least have a pension.

Next week businessman K will have an audience in the House of Cassation for the discussion on the bail set to leave the Ezeiza Prison. The Federal Oral Court 4r (TOF 4) reiterated that it must pay 632.5 million pesos to get out of prison. The defense maintains that this figure is impossible to comply with, since embargoes on the former commercial partner of Cristina Kirchner weigh over 600 million dollars.

Meanwhile, the assets of Lázaro Báez - which according to justice he harvested while he was the main contractor of public works in the south - has a new threat. Along with the twelve-year prison sentence that the prosecutor Abel Córdoba required when concluding his plea in the trial for the Ruta del Dinero K, he considered that he should be fined $ 438 million: eight times the laundering operations of money attributed to it.

Along with the fine, he also asked for the confiscation of an extensive list of assets in the name of Lázaro Báe z, his flagship firm Austral Construcciones, shareholdings in twenty companies, including Valle Miter SRL, which he used to operate three family hotels. Cristina Kirchner,

The list of assets on which the confiscation was required also includes some 45 properties located in Santa Cruz, Chubut, CABA, province of Buenos Aires. Houses, apartments, land, rooms, garages, the compendium is diverse. Also included are six rooms that were purchased between 2010 and 2013,

The confiscation request also reached assets that are in the name of the construction company: 120 vehicles, 13 properties and also a Top Air signature aircraft.

According to the prosecutor's argument, all these assets, as another important quantity attributed to Martín Báez, were acquired only in three years: 2010-2013, which is when the investigated laundering operations took place. There are other acquisitions outside that period, which were also under the sights of justice.

To cover the fine of $ 438 million, the prosecutor asked the TOF 4 to assign other assets in the name of Lázaro : shares of 20 companies, other 46 properties that includes some 12 rooms, three vehicles . It doesn't end there: another half a dozen fields in the name of Austral Agro, 50 more properties, and about 1,100 vehicles, most linked to Austral.

Two boats and another 50 properties deeded by Austral Construcciones  were also added to the list of seized assets to cover the fine.

For Justice, part of that money that Báez poured into the acquisition of properties originated from the funds he received from the Kirchner government through public works. In fact, Justice investigates if the 1,412 properties were purchased in a personal capacity, or if Báez acted as figurehead for the Kirchners.

The discussion about Báez's fortune adds another seasoning. Lázaro's ex-wife, Norma Calismonte, wants some of all that heritage to be in her favor in a future division of assets . The scenario is complex, and her lawyers are fighting to recover at least some rents that the companies charge, which represent 1.5 million pesos per month.

The businessman's ex-wife set her sights on a list of lawyers and administrators appointed by Lázaro Báez, who to date manage property rentals in Santa Cruz, Chubut, Buenos Aires and Chaco , and ensures that this money does not go to court accounts. corresponding and much less to family coffers. Calismonte seeks, at least for this period, "a pension from the money that is obtained from the property rentals of the companies," Clarín told them from his environment.

Meanwhile, justice continues to deliver bad news to Néstor and Cristina Kirchner's favorite businessman. This Friday, room IV of the Federal Chamber of Criminal Cassation rejected the challenge raised by Báez's defense against the judges who denied his release, and also ratified the Argentine jurisdiction in the investigation for alleged laundering in the purchase of the El Entrevero field, In uruguay. Judges Mariano Borinsky, Gustavo Hornos and Javier Carbajo declared inadmissible the appeal before the Court presented by the defense of lawyer Jorge Chueco, close collaborator of the contractor.
