Liu Zhao cited the remarks of former Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping, saying that the central government has the principle of "one country, two systems" that "patriots govern Hong Kong" and believes that this election has not shifted the red line of democrats. He also said that no external forces "opposition" hope to collude to seize power in large strides. He also pointed out that candidates with high “opposition” reputations cannot stand.
