The defendants are a 15-year-old male student, a 16-year-old male student surnamed Zhou, Yang Tiancheng (19 years old, warehouse clerk), Chen Pusen (23 years old, technician), Ma Jianhao (20 years old, student) and female defendant Zhou Minqi (27 years old) , Unemployed). They were also charged with participating in an illegal assembly outside the Genki Sushi Restaurant in Metroplaza, Kwai Chung on December 25 last year.
In response to the age of the first defendant, the court ordered that the disclosure of information that could identify him be prohibited. The defendants were released on bail of RMB 2,000. They were not allowed to leave Hong Kong during the period and had to report to the police station once a week. The first two young defendants were also required to observe a curfew from 8 pm to 6:30 am the next morning.
