After further investigation, the man was suspected of being related to another 7 burglaries that occurred in the district from May to July this year, with a total loss of about 240,000 yuan. As far as I know, some of the stolen goods have not been recovered. It is understood that the locations of the eight burglaries mentioned above are all buildings with scaffoldings that are undergoing external wall repairs.
It is understood that the arrested was named Wu, 41 years old, and was reported as a construction worker. It is known that he himself has been a scaffolding worker for many years and is quite senior. It is not ruled out that some people use his knowledge and experience for illegal purposes. As for someone who was going out when they were arrested and carrying a number of suspected stolen goods, the police did not rule out that someone was going to sell the stolen goods.

Police said the arrested man is now being detained for investigation. The case was handed over to the First Team of the Criminal Investigation Team of Yau Tsim Police District for follow-up. The police also urged citizens to be vigilant and not to leave large amounts of valuables in their homes or shops. The public should also take precautions against theft, lock doors and windows and activate the security system to prevent criminals from taking advantage of it. As for the crime of "breaking into the house", the maximum sentence is 14 years in prison upon conviction.
