The commander of the Hong Kong Forces, Chen Daoxiang, delivered a speech, saying that Hong Kong's promulgation and implementation of the "National Security Law" is an important milestone in the practice of "One Country, Two Systems".
Chen Daoxiang emphasized that the garrison, as a "sacred needle" for maintaining Hong Kong's prosperity and stability, will unswervingly defend national sovereignty, security, and development interests, and promote the practice of "one country, two systems" for stability and long-term development. The Hong Kong Garrison will unswervingly join hands with the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, the Central Authorities in Hong Kong and patriots to guard Hong Kong before setting off.
