At about 11 o'clock in the evening on August 1, a man reportedly passed through the back door of the old Wan Chai police station when he was walking through Xie Wei Road. Suddenly three non-Chinese men walked out, stabbed him with a knife, and took the opportunity to snatch one of his bags.
It is understood that the three culprits fled without a trace along the back alley towards Lockhart Road. The ambulancemen arrived at the scene and found that the robbed man was bleeding heavily and was unconscious. After stopping the bleeding and stabilizing the injury, he was rushed to Queen Mary Hospital for rescue. The police are investigating the incident, and the value of the property in the robbed bag is temporarily unknown.
The police temporarily classified the case as a "robbery" for follow-up, and no one was arrested. After the incident, the police blocked a section of Xie Wei Road for investigation. A sharp knife and blood-stained clothing were recovered at the scene. Affected by the incident, vehicles on inner Gloucester Road and Fleming Road cannot be diverted to eastbound Xie Wei Road temporarily.
