"1AYoVoy" is the slogan that became a trend in social networks and with which the mobilization to be held this Saturday was organized, it is presumed in different parts of the country, to reject the efforts of the national government to reform Justice.

More than 19,600 Twitter users shared the call to go out to protest against the bill presented this week by President Alberto Fernández and against the formation of the committee of jurists to propose changes in the Supreme Court and in the Council of the Magistracy, between others.

That body of advisers was controversial as soon as the names of the chosen ones were known: among them are Carlos Beraldi , Cristina Kirchner's lawyer, and his partner León Arslanian , who also works as a defense lawyer for former Kirchner officials accused in cases for alleged acts of corruption.

As stated in the call, the main meeting point of the march will again be the Buenos Aires Obelisk, which became the epicenter of many protests during the quarantine against the coronavirus. It is that there you can also circulate with vehicles, which facilitates participation.

But the call is to go out to demonstrate in the main squares and "emblematic corners" of the entire country. The march will start at 16.

The so-called "1A", in reference to August 1, has as its closest antecedent the demonstration that took place on August 1, 2017, when thousands of people came out to mobilize in favor of "democracy" and in support of the government of the then president Mauricio Macri.

This was one of the first massive mobilizations of the self-convened, which was replicated on other occasions, including recently against the frustrated attempts by the national government to expropriate the agro-export group Vicentin. This Friday, President Fernández was in charge of confirming that he would back down with that decision.
