The Queen Mary Hospital announced in the afternoon that an 86-year-old male patient who was diagnosed with new coronary pneumonia died today. He is a long-term patient and has no travel history. He started coughing on July 11 and was sent to the hospital by the quarantine center to be diagnosed with new coronary pneumonia. After the patient was admitted to the hospital, his condition continued to deteriorate, and he left at 9.50 am today.

He was one of the 34 confirmed residents of the Hong Kong-Thailand Nursing Center. A total of 7 patients died with him, and the death rate reached 20%.

In addition, a 79-year-old female patient living in Xingcui House, Xinghua (1) Village, Chaiwan, was admitted to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital on July 29 due to fever and asthma. The patient's condition continued to deteriorate and he was separated at 2:31 this afternoon.

Together with the above cases, a total of 31 confirmed cases of COVID-19 have passed away in public hospitals so far.
