Following the relief from the heat load, about 70,000 hikers visited the national parks and nature reserves on Saturday. During the weekend, we had 6,800 hikers in the night camps, including Achziv, Horshet Tal, Maayan Harod and Ashkelon.
Among the prominent sites: Yarkon Tel Afek with 2,500 travelers, and Caesarea, Banias and Ein Gedi with 2,000 travelers at each site.
The Nature and Parks Authority met the hikers at the information and information stations, and provided recommendations and information on the hiking trails alongside the rules of the safe hike.
