A broad trough of low pressure is bringing showers to the northern South China Sea and the coast of South China. At 5 o'clock in the morning, Severe Tropical Storm Hagupit assembled about 210 kilometers east-southeast of Taipei. It is expected to move northwest at a speed of about 18 kilometers per hour, crossing the East China Sea and moving towards the east coast of China.
Weather overview: Hong Kong was mainly cloudy today with a few showers. There was sunshine for a short period of time during the day, and the temperature ranged from 26 to 31 degrees with gentle southeast winds.
The Observatory's outlook: there will still be showers and thunderstorms in the next two or three days; the showers will gradually decrease later this week and there will be sunshine during some periods.
