Cyber attacks made public have multiplied in recent weeks for companies, in France as well as pretty much everywhere in the world. In the last week of June alone, 28 French companies or communities that were victims of ransomware contacted the National Agency for Computer Systems Security (Anssi). Most have been victims of a ransomware attack, a malicious computer code that encrypts data and prevents the company from accessing the contents of its files in order to extort money from it.
