"We invite the great football family to come together to help the Red Cross" , declared the president of Conmebol, Alejandro Dominguez, on the website of the confederation, about a campaign called "Together for America from South".

At the end of August, the items collected after this call for donations will be drawn at a raffle, the winnings of which will be distributed equally to the Red Cross of each country concerned: Argentina, Uruguay, Chile , Brazil, Peru, Colombia, Venezuela, Bolivia and Paraguay and Ecuador. Alejandro Dominguez clarified that the first item the Confederation obtained was a replica of the Copa Libertadores, rewarding the winner of the Cup of the same name, the South American equivalent of the Champions League in Europe.
