At 7 am, the observatory recorded a temperature of 26.8°C and a relative humidity of 94%.

The highest UV index today is about 3, and the intensity is moderate.

Weather Overview: A broad trough of low pressure brought showers and thunderstorms to the northern South China Sea and the coast of South China yesterday. Hong Kong was mostly cloudy yesterday, with sunshine for a short period of time and occasional showers. Rainfall of about 10 millimetres was recorded in many areas. It is expected that this broad trough of low pressure will bring unstable weather to the South China coast today. As the subtropical high ridge stretches westward to southeastern China, showers in the area will gradually decrease in the next few days and the sky will be brighter.

In addition, tropical cyclone Hagupit gradually weakened from a typhoon to a tropical storm yesterday. At 11 o'clock last night, Hagupit assembled about 160 kilometers east-southeast of Nanjing, and was expected to move northward at a speed of about 28 kilometers per hour, crossing Jiangsu, and moving towards the Yellow Sea.

The weather forecast in Hong Kong on Wednesday: cloudy with showers and a few thunderstorms, sometimes heavy rain. The temperature ranges from 26 to 29 degrees. Slow down the south to southeast wind, and the offshore wind is fresh.

Observatory outlook: There will be thunderstorms at the beginning of Thursday, and there will be sunshine for part of the day or two.
