It was midnight when Fabrizio Álvarez heard noises. In front of the Ciudadela house she has her tattoo shop and behind, the place where she lives with her 19-year-old sister. So she decided to go out and found a person who was stealing. They struggled but Fabrizio reached for his shotgun, shot the thief in the chest and killed him. He spent the night in detention and awaits his statement to determine whether he is released or is still in prison.

Everything happened first thing this Tuesday in Riccheri at 2800, in the party of Tres de Febrero, northwest of Greater Buenos Aires. The noises came from the patio, where Fabrizio parks his car. The 27-year-old wanted to see what was going on.

When he left he found a person taking the battery out of the car, putting it right next to the vehicle: at that moment they started to fight. There was a struggle until Fabrizio managed to free himself and ran back inside his house. From there he came out with a shotgun aimed at the thief. What happened next is still unclear: if he shot into the air to drive him away and hit him, or if he directly targeted him.

The thief had a knife and a small kitchen ax -with a short handle- that was right next to the body.

Fabrizio and his sister called 911 to tell what had happened, while the assailant was still wounded in the courtyard of the house. When the police arrived, he was already dead. They have not yet been able to identify him because he did not have any documentation, but they estimate that he was "between 25 and 30 years old."

Meanwhile, the tattoo artist was detained and spent the night at the Ciudadela Norte police station. This Tuesday, the prosecutor Sergio López, from UFI No. 2 in San Martín, had planned to take a statement to define his procedural situation.

"We have to listen to the young man's version in order to reconstruct the fact and determine if he acted in legitimate defense or if there was any kind of excess. After the investigation, it will be determined whether he is apprehended or released," a judicial source told Télam .

Her account of the events will be key and will also be contrasted with the sayings of her sister, who told her version to the Police.

The weapon seized from the Álvarez home is a 16-gauge shotgun, but it remains unclear whether the young man had a permit to carry or supporting documentation. This is another of the points that you must clarify in your statement in another act of justice by your own hand in the Buenos Aires suburbs, where so far this year there have been numerous similar cases.

In Riccheri at 2800, Fabrizio opened his own tattoo house "Ciudadela Ink" a few years ago. Before, in that same place, he had a maxikiosk that was open 24 hours a day.

Near this place, a month ago Sandra Viviana Boaglio was killed when she was going to visit her mother. Two brothers were arrested for the crime, although they are still looking for the material author.

The event was registered at the corner of Juan Muñoz and Alianza streets, about seven blocks from General Paz avenue. Boaglio (52) was visiting her mother's house when at least one criminal intercepted her for apparent theft.

According to sources, the woman resisted the theft of her wallet and the attacker fired a shot that hit the woman's chest. After escaping on foot, the murderer was chased about 100 meters by a neighbor and fled in a waiting Fiat Fiorino van - exploited as an ambulance -.
