After marches and countermarches, this Tuesday the meeting between the National Government and the AFA was finally held to define the return of the training of the soccer teams. And in the meeting scheduled at the Casa Rosada, the leaders left with the expected result: from Monday, August 10, the Primera teams as well as Tigre, who participates in the Copa Libertadores, will be able to return to practice.

The faces of Santiago Cafiero, chief of staff, were seen at the meeting; Ginés González García, Minister of Health; Matías Lammens, Minister of Tourism and Sports; Claudio Tapia, boss of the AFA, and Víctor Blanco, head of Racing and secretary general of the AFA.

It was no coincidence that Cafiero was sitting at the table and that the meeting was in his own office. After all, it is the right hand of Alberto Fernández. The President had been cautious in recent weeks regarding the return of practice. González García and Carla Vizzotti , secretary of access to Health , expressed the same sense .

The date of August 10 had transpired from the AFA and nothing went well in Balcarce 50. "We do not want to be rushed", they slipped into the corridors of La Rosada. The alternative they used was to enable the clubs from 17, when this new stage of quarantine will end. But finally they decided to enable the proposal of the leaders.

Meanwhile, River, Boca, Racing, Defense and Justice and Tigre have already scheduled their commitments for the Libertadores, which will begin on September 17. And they had almost no room for maneuver. Without going any further, Gonzalo Belloso, director of Development of Conmebol, warned that the dates were stretched "as much as possible." And in case any element of greater pressure was needed, from Paraguay it was announced that the clubs would receive “exceptional” financial assistance for the payment of charter flights.

Argentina is the only member of Conmebol that did not reactivate the soccer industry. It is already played in Brazil and Paraguay. The Peruvian championship starts on Friday and the Uruguayan on Saturday. On the 15th the Ecuadorian would begin. Everywhere you train. And now in the AFA they found the answer they expected to resume the practices from the 10th of this month.
