A victim not yet identified, a driver on the run in a rental van, the first moments of the tragedy still unclear… The case of the pedestrian killed on Sunday at the end of the morning, in Saint-Ouen (Seine-Saint-Denis) moves further and further away from a simple road accident. The investigation, entrusted to the departmental branch of the judicial police, is open for murder.
Witnesses say they witnessed a final ultraviolet scene on Avenue Michelet. “The pedestrian found himself hanging on the hood of a van. Its driver hit several parked vehicles to eject it, ”summarizes a resident.
Six cars are smashed by the suspect who throws a series of steering wheel blows to knock the victim down. The maneuvers are repeated over several tens of meters, while the pedestrian was still alive, according to passers-by.

The driver then escapes. Witnesses all indicate that he was in a rental van. This Tuesday morning, the author is still wanted.
What happened at the beginning? Did the victim know the driver? For now, there are no answers. The 30-year-old pedestrian has not been identified either. The autopsy of the body was to take place this Monday morning.
The investigators have started a big job of exploiting the images of the various cameras in the sector, public video surveillance but also that of private companies. Their content could guide them in identifying the vehicle but also its escape route.
