At 1:13 pm today (4th), the firefighter received reports that a fire broke out in a tenement building at No. 13 Yuan Chau Street, Sham Shui Po, and a large amount of smoke was emitted. The firefighter reported to the scene to fight the fire.
Some netizens photographed the fire alarm. A large amount of thick black smoke was seen from the involved unit. After about a few minutes, a tongue of fire rolled out of the window. Suspected explosions were heard at the scene. Some items fell straight down the street from the involved unit. Some citizens took the initiative to inform other pedestrians not to approach the fire scene. The location of the fire site is just across the street from the petrol station.
