After spending 40 points in Phoenix on Sunday, Luka Doncic was still a hit with the Mavs, Sacramento winners in overtime (114-110) last night. Mammoth triple double with 34 points, 20 rebounds and 12 assists for the Slovenian who becomes the youngest player in history (21 years and 158 days) to come out a game with at least 30 points and 20 rebounds and 10 assists in front of the Milwaukee legend Oscar Robertson (23 years, 12 days). This is the first success for Dallas since the resumption of the NBA season on July 31 in the Disney bubble in Orlando, Florida. Behind Doncic, Tim Hardaway Jr. and Kristaps Porzingis assisted well, with 22 points each. “It wasn't our best game, far from it,” said Doncic, but “we fought, we hung on, we helped each other, we never gave up. We needed this victory ”. The Mavs are 7th in the West (41v-29d). For the Kings on the other hand, the chances of qualifying for the play-offs are slim after three defeats since the resumption and a distant 13th place.
Career record for Luwawu-Cabarrot
Note the short exit (16 pts, 6 rbs in 16 minutes) of Antetokounmpo and the defeat of the Bucks against the Nets (116-119) with which Timothé Luwawu-Cabarrot shone. The French Nets broke his NBA points record with 26 units (5/7 at three points), including an award-winning basket at the end of the game, to install the Nets in 7th place. This is the second consecutive loss for the leading Bucks after that against Houston on Sunday. But Milwaukee (54v-14d) will have another chance to secure first place in the East on Thursday against the Miami Heat (4th).
