The French National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSF) recommends that the French Rugby Federation (FFR) postpone the elections scheduled for October 3 for two months, in an opinion written on Wednesday, of which AFP has obtained a copy. Seized as a conciliator by the opposition list led by Florian Grill, who believes that the two months of confinement (from March 17 to May 11) prevented him from campaigning properly, the CNOSF considers "judicious to secure this election by carrying out its postponement ”. The opposition list, which proposes a postponement to December 12, threatens to refer the matter to the election judge in the absence of a compromise. Even if "no statutory provision imposed a priori the neutralization of this pre-election period in these circumstances", the CNOSF believes that the FFR would derive "benefits" from postponing the election.
