Omri Cohen and Lior Rosen met about two years ago as part of the training program for equals in uniform. Later, they volunteered at the Hazor Air Force base, each in a different squadron and even went through a recruitment process. A few months ago the love ignited and the two became a couple. Aren't they adorable together?
The "Equal in Uniform" program enables young men and women with intellectual disabilities to serve in meaningful military service. After undergoing two months of training, the participants in the program first join the army on a volunteer standard and later, if they want to and are found suitable, will undergo a conscription process and become full-fledged soldiers.
The "Equal in Uniform" program is an initiative of Akim Israel, which also operates it, in cooperation with the IDF and with the support of the Ministry of Welfare.
