It has been more than a year since the anti-revision movement broke out, and the social atmosphere has gradually calmed down. However, a large number of young people who participated in street protest activities are facing criminal prosecution. Young people are the pillars of the future of society. Even if they may make mistakes, they should not be abandoned. In addition, the anti-regulation movement has complicated causes. Therefore, "Hong Kong 01" earlier suggested that the government should not try to make young people abide by the law only by criminal consequences. It is to repair social rifts in accordance with the law, reason and reason, including providing support to arrested youths. Coincidentally, recently, a group of multi-professionals in the society have established an assistance platform called "Transformation Project" to provide legal counseling and psychological counseling services to arrested teenagers, thereby rebuilding unity in a highly fragmented society.

Song Enrong, a member of the "Transformation Project" and deputy director of the Economic Research Center of the Asia-Pacific Research Institute of CUHK, believes that excessively harsh punishment may cause young people to go further and further away from society, and will not help cultivate their concept of the rule of law.
