In the shadow of the economic crisis and the Corona period, the digital insurance company WeSure has announced its entry into the home insurance market. The company introduced its new products - digital home insurance for the building, its contents and its mortgage - and announced that it would also sell insurance outside Israel next year. This is a completely digital interface that allows you to purchase a policy and underwrite in minutes at a competitive price.

About two years ago, the company entered the market and offered car insurance to individuals and institutions. At a press conference in the spirit of the time, in the boom, the company's chairman Emil Weinschell, CEO Nitzan Tzair Harim and the group's president, retired Chief of Staff Yohanan Danino, attended.

During the launch, the company demonstrated live its new digital product to the insured public, how to take out home insurance in just a few clicks, as well as a variety of customized options in the policy according to customer needs.

According to the company's chairman, "For us, this is another significant step that will benefit the Israeli consumer public who can benefit from the technological advancement. Unlike companies such as Lemonade, Hippo and Next Insurance, we chose to bring the good news of digital insurance to Israeli consumers first and only then expand to operations abroad. "Israel is a start-up nation and the Israeli public deserves to enjoy the developments that originate in Israel."

According to the group's president, Yohanan Danino, "the goal is to be a global company. Digital has proven that all barriers can be overcome. In some places, Corona has even expanded our business results in volume and profits. Lemonade's offering has proven how much investors believe in InShortech."

Minister Cohen Peretz: "Continuation of the parallel import reform"

The Minister of Intelligence, Eli Cohen, who served as Minister of Economy and Industry before Amir Peretz, turned to his successor - who referred to the compromise agreement between Stowitz and the Competition Authority, regarding the issue of parallel imports. Under this compromise agreement, Stowitz, the official importer of Colgate toothpaste, will be able to have a commercial dialogue with Colgate Global and update it on parallel imports of its products arriving in the country.

Minister Eli Cohen called on Minister Peretz to stop the folding of the Competition Authority and to continue with reforms that will ensure parallel imports. According to him, the arrangement is a slap in the face to competition and consumers, and the arrangement should be amended and the law amended, which would allow parallel imports to be carried out without interruption, in a way that would be good for consumers.

It should be noted that according to the settlement agreement, Stowitz is allowed to contact the global company and inform it that there are parallel imports and what the price is. The company must not provide identifying details that will allow the global company to locate the source of the parallel imports.

In the letter, Minister Cohen wrote: "I read with astonishment the arrangement according to which no measures were taken against the company for actions aimed at preventing parallel imports, and even more so, allowing a report to the international manufacturer regarding parallel imports in certain cases.

"The arrangement of the Competition Authority with representatives of the Shestowitz company is fundamentally invalid and indirectly helps to reduce competition ... I call on you to act to disqualify the arrangement by amending legislation under a government bill that will prevent harm to competition and parallel imports in any way."

Minister Peretz received his letter and instructed his ministry officials to examine the case in depth as discussed in the Antitrust Court. No response was received from the competition authority.
