A former gymnastics player, arrested in a case for clandestine play

While Argentine soccer prepares everything for what will be the return of training from this Monday, August 10, a former gymnastic footballer was involved in a criminal act. This is Antonio Pierguidi, who was arrested in the middle of an operation to dismantle a gang that managed clandestine bets.

The fact that links the ex emerged from the inferiors of the Wolf happened this Thursday in the Buenos Aires town of Bolívar after a series of raids (according to local media there are 15 in total) in some homes in the aforementioned city.

Pierguidi was led by Maturana and Troglio en el Lobo.

The tip (34 years old) who defended the Tripero shirt for five seasons - later continued in Quilmes, Barracas Central, Deportivo Maipú and Estudiantes de San Luis, among others - is accused of belonging to a band that according to the complaint  managed illegal bets in online mode (mainly pools and horse races).

In total, at least nine detainees were reported (most in sectors neighboring Bolívar) in the case that has been investigated since 2018 for the crimes of clandestine gambling, illicit association and fraud by the public administration.
