Last night (Thursday), an IDF fighter jet and an aircraft attacked an underground infrastructure of the Hamas terrorist organization in the northern Gaza Strip.

Defense Minister Ganz said after the attack: "Israel will not accept any violation of sovereignty and harm to the residents of the south. In Gaza, we must understand that there is no other solution - only returning the boys home and quiet will lead to economic growth in the Gaza Strip." ".

Earlier, Palestinian media reported that the IDF had attacked a Hamas observation post in the Gaza Strip in response to the firing of incendiary balloons at Israeli territory earlier.

Two missiles were reportedly fired at Hamas lookout points in the northern Gaza Strip. No injuries were reported. Following an investigation by fire and rescue investigators, it was determined that three different fires in the Gaza Envelope were caused as a result of incendiary balloons. An explosive device with a delay mechanism that was attached to a balloon was safely unloaded in Arad today.

Firefighters and Rescue for Israel Southern District stated: "After investigating the thorn fires incident today in the Eshkol Regional Council area and in the Ashkelon Beach Regional Council, the Israel District Fire and Rescue Fire Investigator together with the Netivot Fire and Rescue Fire Investigator determined that the fires were caused by balloons." It should be noted that in all three incidents these are small and not dangerous thorn fires.

Meanwhile, the Israel Police received a report that a balloon had been found in the industrial area of Arad to which a suspicious item was attached. An examination by the police sapper revealed that it was an explosive device with a delay mechanism - and it was neutralized.

The police said: "Similar to previous incidents, the very invention of the delay system for activating the charge raises the need to emphasize the danger of the suspicious objects and keep their distance from them.
