The 28 million disposable adult masks delivered, that is, half of the total number of masks delivered in this batch.
Earlier, the government launched a local mask production subsidy program under the "Epidemic Prevention and Anti-epidemic Fund", distributing a total of about 14 million yuan in subsidies to 20 production lines and purchasing masks from subsidized production lines for a period of one year. The one that received the most funding was Swiss Ecosystem Co., Ltd. As of July, the company's two production lines had received a total of nearly 1.73 million yuan and supplied 1.864 million masks to the government.
According to the authorities, the delivery of masks has been successfully completed. In the case of unsuccessful delivery of masks, the postman has left a notification card for citizens to pick up the mask at the designated post office within 28 working days. In addition, the Social Welfare Department and the District Offices of Home Affairs have assisted in arranging the delivery of masks to some residential addresses that cannot be covered by the Hongkong Post delivery service, such as subdivided houses and village houses.
The government issued a total of about 14 million yuan in capital subsidies to 20 production lines. The one that received the most funding was Swiss Ecosystem Co., Ltd., whose two production lines received a total of nearly 1.73 million yuan and supplied 1.864 million masks to the government.
The other companies with two production lines under it are Steptronics Technology Co., Ltd., which has been allocated 1.5 million yuan to supply 8 million masks; Creative International Technology Co., Ltd. has been allocated 1.48 million yuan to supply 6.54 million masks; Yicheng Medical Supplies Co., Ltd. The company received a grant of 1.35 million yuan to supply 8.34 million masks.
Earlier, it was discovered by the media that many of its company directors were active in the Universe Development Group Co., Ltd. with a background of patriotic society. It was allocated 940,000 yuan and supplied 2 million masks. The Universe Development Group was established in June 2012. The company’s shareholder Luo Dajun is also the director of several patriotic societies, including the Hong Kong Whampoa Federation of All walks of life, the Hong Kong Guangzhou Association Volunteer Group, the Hong Kong Panyu Club and the Hong Kong Youth Cultural Association. Luo also serves as Director of the Hong Kong Guangzhou Association of Societies.
