Airliner crash lands in southern India, casualties

The plane was carrying 185 people and was owned by Air India Express. He was from Dubai.


An airliner carrying at least 185 people broke in two on Friday (August 7th) during a crash landing in southern India, raising fears of casualties, Indian authorities and media said.

The crash of the Air India Express company, coming from Dubai, took place at Kozhikide airport, in the state of Kerala. A state deputy said at least one person, the pilot, had died, while media reported dozens of people hospitalized.
