President Alberto Fernández reiterated this Friday that one of his objectives is to overcome "waste capitalism" and move towards the construction of a country "more supportive, inclusive and with more commitment of all."

"We live in a society that needs to include everyone. We cannot live in this waste capitalism, where one group lives well and another suffers. The reality is that this goal that we set ourselves on the first day is the goal that we want to consolidate," he remarked. .

The President made these statements when participating, by teleconference, in the event organized by social organizations to commemorate San Cayetano's Day.

"My commitment to you is absolute. I have come to the government hand in hand with you and I know the commitment I have to each and every one of you. I understood that we are living in a time in which there is an economy that has developed at the same time of what we could call the formal economy and that this economy needs mechanisms to be able to develop, grow and that it is a formidable mechanism to include people, "he said.

Then the President promised that he will "do things differently so that social justice exists once and for all in our country."

"Argentina must stop being the country of a few, which is what those who preceded me dreamed of, to become the country of everyone," he raised and thus renewed his criticism against the administration of former President Mauricio Macri.

Fernández added: "Let's ask San Cayetano to let us turn as soon as we can the sheet of this time that, I believe, is ending, to begin to build a more supportive, inclusive and committed one from all of us."

The meeting was also held to commemorate the march held in 2016 between the sanctuary located in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Liniers and the Plaza de Mayo. In this context, the priest and rector of the sanctuary, Alejandro Vignole, made the blessing of the work tools.

"I did not want to be absent because for us work is a priority and that in Argentina today we still have people with problems accessing work is something that hurts us, something that worries us and that forces us to deal with the problem," he said. President.

The dozens of leaders and representatives of social organizations were highlighted by the implementation of various measures such as the Argentina Plan against Hunger and the distribution of the Alimentar Card, the improvements in the Universal Child Allowance and the implementation of the Emergency Family Income (IFE).

"The plan was a surprise and a satisfaction, because we thought it for fewer people, we believed that Argentina had 3 million people who had been left out of the system, and the number grew to reach 9 million people," he explained.

And he considered that this “revealed how the Argentine State ignored such a large number of Argentines, more than 20 percent of the Argentines that the national State did not register and who were surviving, we do not know exactly under what conditions: but we have been able to reach them and assist them in the pandemic ”.

In addition, the president recognized the work of social organizations "that have done so much in recent years so that Argentina does not suffer further delay and more needs in sectors that have already been suffering for many years."

The conference was attended by referents from the Union of Workers of the Popular Economy (UTEP), the Evita Movement, the Classist and Combative Current (CCC) and the Movement We Are Barrios de Pie, among others.

Leaders of the Excluded Workers Movement (MTE), the Darío Santillán Front, the Dignity Movement, the Octubres National Movement, the Justice and Dignity Movement, the Indigenous Peasant National Movement (MNCI), the Aníbal CTD were also part of the virtual meeting. Verón, from the Martín Fierro National Current and the Peronist Barrios Movement, among other social and union organizations.
