Explosion of Beirut: Lebanese President evokes "negligence" or "a missile"

The city of Beirut was blown away Tuesday by an explosion that left at least 137 dead and more than 5,000 injured.


Lebanese President Michel Aoun said on Friday August 7 that the terrible explosion at the port of Beirut was due " either to negligence or to external intervention ", citing the hypothesis of " a missile ".

" It is possible that it was caused by negligence or by an external action, with a missile or a bomb ", declared the head of state during an interview with journalists, three days after the catastrophe.
