Faced with closed doors to sports halls and the ban on long sports routes on foot or by bike, everyday athletes have found solutions to confinement. Exercise bikes, treadmills and other yoga classes have taken center stage with the support of new technologies.
Enough to give rise to strange conversations ... The phrase "I'm returning from a race in the Alps", pronounced by a Parisian in the middle of April, was surprising. Unless it is clarified that the ballad was virtual, carried out from a connected treadmill, recently placed in the middle of the family living room. "I ran 18 km per day, without stepping outside," laughs Julien, another sports technophile, who took advantage of his sports sessions to browse his emails.

The cyclists did not stay on the edge of the virtual road. Sales of home trainers - onto which a traditional bicycle attaches - and exercise bikes have also skyrocketed.
