In addition, the certification documents submitted by people returning to Hong Kong only need to show that the laboratory or medical institution is accredited by ISO 15189, and does not necessarily have to be recognized or approved by the relevant competent authority of the local government.

The Food and Health Bureau stated that the government decided to maintain the nine countries mentioned above as designated areas, and in accordance with the actual situation since the implementation of the regulations, issued the latest specifications and simplified relevant conditions. Details are as follows:
Relevant persons arriving in Hong Kong must provide the following documents:
(1) A report in Chinese or English issued by a laboratory or medical institution, containing the name of the relevant person arriving in Hong Kong (the name must be the same as the name shown on the valid travel document of the relevant person arriving in Hong Kong) and showing The following information:
(A) The relevant persons arriving in Hong Kong have received a nucleic acid test for COVID-19, and the test samples were taken from the relevant persons arriving in Hong Kong within 72 hours before the scheduled departure time of the plane;
(B) The sample tested is the COVID-19 nucleic acid test; and
(C) The test result of the COVID-19 virus disease of the relevant arrival in Hong Kong was negative; and
(2) If the relevant report is not in Chinese or English or does not contain all the above-mentioned information, an additional confirmation letter issued by the laboratory or medical institution in Chinese or English containing the name of the relevant person (in Some of the names must be the same as those shown on the valid travel documents of the relevant persons arriving in Hong Kong) and all the above-mentioned information shall be submitted together with the report; and
(3) A certificate in Chinese or English to show that the laboratory or medical institution is accredited by ISO 15189, or is recognized or approved by the relevant competent authority of the local government; and
(4) The confirmation letter in Chinese or English for the relevant arrivals to book rooms in Hong Kong hotels, and the rental period shall be no less than 14 days from the day the relevant arrivals arrive in Hong Kong.
Before the specified aircraft arrives in Hong Kong, the operator of the specified aircraft submits to the Department of Health a document conforming to the format specified by the Department of Health to confirm that each relevant person arriving in Hong Kong is required to board the aircraft before going through the boarding procedures for the aircraft to Hong Kong. Present the above-mentioned supporting documents.
The specification will take effect at 0:00 on August 10, 2020, and will remain in effect until further notice.
