According to the law, any person who violates the statutory requirements for wearing a mask is a crime. Once convicted, the maximum fine is 5,000 yuan or a fixed fine of 2,000 yuan.
In addition, the requirement to wear masks does not apply to people under 2 years of age, people who have legal authority or reasonable excuses not to wear masks, and are participating in legal proceedings in any court, statutory tribunal, statutory committee or statutory arbitration office.
