East Jerusalem: A 4-year-old girl was shot in the head and died of her wounds at the hospital. At 20:39 last night (Thursday), the MDA hotline received a report of the girl, who was rushed to a clinic in the east of the city while she was unconscious. Paramedics who were called to the scene evacuated her to Shaare Zedek Hospital while performing resuscitation operations.
"When we arrived at the clinic, we saw a 4-year-old girl unconscious with no breathing and no pulse," said paramedics Elhai Sofer and Joey Kalman. "She suffered a serious injury. We provided her with medical treatment and performed advanced and prolonged resuscitation until we reached the trauma room at the hospital."
Shaare Zedek said that "a 4-year-old girl was brought to the medical center with a gunshot wound to the head. The girl arrived after a long resuscitation and upon arrival she was pronounced dead."
The police said that yesterday a report was received of a girl with a gunshot wound to the head, and an investigation was opened to find out the background and circumstances of her injury.
