A Frenchman can hide another in Moto GP this season! Indeed, while Fabio Quartararo, building on his two victories in Jerez and with the absence of six-time world champion Marc Marquez, was the favorite to take pole position in Brno, it is ultimately his compatriot Johann Zarco who set the best time of the session. This sixth pole in MotoGP comes at the right time for him after a complicated 2019, KTM having thanked him in the middle of the season for lack of results. The 30-year-old rider regained a starting place with the modest Ducati-Avintia team in 2020 in the hope of conquering a better bike next year. There is no doubt that his performance of the day should help him, especially if it is confirmed on Sunday during the race (2 p.m., Canal +).
