Two young Toulouse residents, aged 19 and 21, were victims on Wednesday July 29 of an assault in a meeting while they were returning from their vacation in Port-Leucate (Aude), reports our colleague L'Indépendant.

While they were asking two other young people, who had come up to Narbonne station, to put out a cigarette, the tone rose. The two Toulouse residents then looked for a controller to settle the dispute. In vain.

During a stop at the station four individuals then boarded the train to support the reprimanded smoker and assault the two passengers. The two victims were finally transported and taken care of at the hospital in the next town, in Castelnaudary. One of them comes out with several fractures to the face, an injury to the brow bone and several bruises. The other suffered a broken nose and a knife wound to his hand. The two young people decided to file a complaint two days after the facts, at the Toulouse police station, for " violence in a meeting, with the use of a weapon  ". The case has been transferred to Carcassonne, where an investigation is underway.
