The number of deaths and infections with the Coronavirus around the world continues to rise steadily, as the number of deaths, according to the latest statistics, exceeded 722,000, while the infection barrier exceeded 19.5 million people.
The United States tops the list of countries most affected by the outbreak of the epidemic, as it has so far recorded more than 161,000 deaths, while the number of infections has approached 5 million.
The World Meter, which tracks the developments of the virus, stated that 722,909 deaths from the disease were recorded, while the number of infected people reached 19 million 522 thousand and 276 cases in 196 countries and regions since the outbreak began, noting that 12 million and 532 thousand and 534 people have recovered from the disease.
In Brazil, about 100,000 people have died from the virus so far, and two million and 962,000 cases have been recorded since the start of the epidemic in the country, while Mexico is ranked third, with the total deaths exceeding 51,000 and the number of infections more than 469,000.
In Britain, which ranks fourth in the list of countries most affected by the outbreak of the epidemic, 46,500 people died and the number of injuries exceeded 310,000, while Italy ranked fifth, with the number of deaths exceeding 35,000 and recording about 250,000 injuries so far.
In France, more than 30,000 people died as a result of the virus, and the number of infections reached 235,000, followed by Spain, where the epidemic claimed 28,500 lives, and about 315,000 infections were recorded.
The Corona virus has claimed 42,500 lives in India, and about 2.1 million infections have been recorded since the start of the outbreak.
In Peru, the number of deaths exceeded 20 thousand, and the number of injured reached more than 463 thousand people.
These numbers only reflect a part of the real number of injuries, as several countries do not conduct tests except for the most serious cases, while other countries give priority to conducting tests to track contacts of the injured.
