Lebanese Prime Minister Hassan Diab assured that the disaster of Beirut Port will not pass without accountability, and that there is no umbrella over anyone's head, especially since the judicial procedures give an indication of the credibility of the investigation.
In a speech addressed to the Lebanese today, Diab clarified that the investigation into the disaster of the Beirut port explosion will not take long and will reveal the facts and will expand until it includes all those concerned with the disaster, calling on everyone to join hands to overcome this stage, which is considered an emergency situation related to the fate of the country and its future.
Diab said, "We want a national solution that saves the country, and all parties must agree on the next stage, and I am ready to assume responsibility for the presidency of the government for a period of two months, provided that structural reforms are made to save the country," stressing that Lebanon cannot tolerate auctions and political accounts should be put aside.
Diab pointed out that he would submit a bill to the Council of Ministers to hold early parliamentary elections because Lebanon can only get out of its crisis by holding early parliamentary elections to produce a new political class.
Diab explained that what is required now is that there be a national responsibility in light of the circumstances that the country is going through, especially after the false news that was promoted during the past days about the refusal of aid.
