The Finn was faster with his Mercedes than his teammate Lewis Hamilton and will start this Sunday from first place. Hulkenberg, with Racing Point, surprised and set the third fastest time.

Valtteri Bottas showed this Saturday that he is not only simply a good partner with Lewis Hamilton at Mercedes. The Finn flew at Silverstone and took pole position for this Sunday's race, the 70-year-old Formula 1 GP. The British came second, just 63 thousandths, and third place went to German Nico Hulkenberg who had a great day with Racing Point.
