The examinations for the second exceptional session of the Sharia preparatory and basic education certificates for the academic year 2019-2020 will start tomorrow.

The Ministry of Education indicated in a statement, which SANA received a copy of, that the number of applicants for exams in the second session was 13,582 students distributed in 114 centers in the governorates of “Damascus and its countryside, Quneitra, Aleppo, Idlib, Deir Ezzor and Raqqa.” The second exceptional exams will continue until Wednesday, the 19 of this August for education. Primary and until the 20th of the same month for the Sharia preparatory school.

The director of examinations at the ministry, Yunus Fati, said in a statement to SANA that the examination centers in the governorates were equipped with all their requirements, taking into account the commitment to precautionary measures to address the Corona virus, including daily sterilization and spatial distancing, in addition to following up the preparation of hosting centers for students coming to the governorates of "Damascus Countryside, Aleppo, Raqqa and Hama."

On the 16th of last July, the Ministry of Education issued a decision setting the conditions for admission to registration for the second exceptional session of the Sharia Basic and Preparatory Education certificates from students who were registered for the 2020 session and who were unable to sit for one or more subject exams or exam courses.
