At the Grand Prix of the Czech Republic, the third of the season, Johan Zarco (Avintia Racing) signed his 7th podium of his Moto GP career. The Frenchman, who took pole on Saturday, finished more than two seconds behind Franco Morbidelli (KTM), and almost six behind Brad Binder, who won the first Grand Prix of his career in Moto GP at 24.
